Job Description
- To formulate and enforce procurement policies and procedures, manage supplier relationships, ensure value for money, and maintain accurate procurement records all in support of the institution's operational and strategic needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement policies and ensure compliance across departments.
- Prepare accurate and timely budgets for termly purchases and events.
- Source quality goods/services and negotiate for competitive pricing.
- Generate and manage LPOs and ensure proper verification of deliveries.
- Match supplier invoices with deliveries, LPOs, and budgets before forwarding for payment.
- Maintain up-to-date supplier documentation and manage supplier relationships.
- Monitor market prices and provide quotation analyses for budget approvals.
- Track and record issued items and maintain an updated asset register.
- Oversee procurement documentation, supplier reports and asset disposal records.
- Organize regular stock takes across departments.
- Ensure timely and accurate procurement reporting to management.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Certified Procurement and Supply Professional (CPSP-K) or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a busy procurement function. School experience is an added advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software.
- Familiarity with public and institutional procurement processes in Kenya.
