Job Description
- The Regional Battery Sales Representative will drive battery sales growth by onboarding new and churned dealers, expanding into untapped markets, and gathering actionable market intelligence. This role is critical to strengthening our dealer network, increasing market share, and ensuring our products remain top-of-mind across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Dealer Onboarding & Relationship Management
- Identify, qualify, and onboard new dealers; re-engage churned dealers to restore business relationships.
- Conduct regular visits to dealer locations to ensure product visibility, branding, and optimal placement.
- Educate dealers on product features, applications, and warranty processes.
- Participate in dealers’ training, battery clinics and mechanics events.
Market Expansion & Intelligence
- Explore and develop new sales opportunities in untapped markets within the assigned region.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and emerging customer needs.
- Collect and report on market intelligence to inform sales strategies and product positioning.
Sales Growth & Target Achievement
- Meet and exceed monthly and annual targets of number of active new customers brought on board.
- Implement effective sales strategies and promotional activities to drive growth.
- Track lost business and initiate timely service recovery efforts.
Customer Service & Brand Representation
- Ensure high standards of customer service and satisfaction at all dealer touchpoints.
- Address dealer and customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally.
- Maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and visits.
Reporting & Administration
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports, market insights, and competitor analysis to management.
- Ensure compliance with company credit policies, prompt cash collection, and accurate invoicing.
- Maintain up-to-date records in CRM systems.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
- 2+ years of sales experience, preferably in automotive batteries, energy solutions, or FMCG.
- Proven track record of dealer onboarding and market development.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel extensively within the region.
- Proficiency in CRM and Microsoft Office tools.
