Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in agriculture, with specific experience in coffee farming preferred.
- Practical experience in agronomy, soil fertility, composting, pruning, pre and post harvest handling of coffee crop cycles, pest/disease management, and processing methods.
- Experience in supervising farm labor and managing agricultural operations.
- Proficiency in record keeping, reporting, and basic computer applications.

Key Responsibilities
Farm Operations & Crop Management
- Assist in planning, organizing, and supervising all coffee farm activities including planting, pruning, pest and disease control, harvesting, and post-harvest processing.
- Monitor crop health and ensure best agronomic practices are implemented to maximize yield and quality.
- Support in the maintenance of farm equipment, irrigation systems, and infrastructure.
Staff Supervision & Labor Management
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of farm workers, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
- Train staff in modern coffee farming techniques, health, and safety standards.
- Maintain labor records including attendance, performance, and task allocation.
Administration & Reporting
- Support in preparing budgets, work plans, and consumption reports for inputs and resources.
- Maintain accurate records of farm activities including pesticide/fertilizer use, production volumes, and harvest data.
- Assist in preparing reports for management on daily, weekly and monthly basis.
Compliance & Sustainability
- Ensure adherence to agricultural and environmental regulations.
- Promote sustainable farming practices, including soil conservation, water management, and integrated pest management.
- Maintain certification standards (e.g., Fairtrade, Rainforest Alliance, Organic) where applicable.
Community & Stakeholder Relations
- Build positive relationships with local communities and suppliers.
- Liaise with buyers, agronomists, and extension officers to ensure best practices and market alignment.
