Key Responsibilities
1. Pipeline Development & Territory Management:
° Build and manage a territory plan targeting developers, contractors, architects, QS firms, and premium retail clients.
° Source opportunities through outbound outreach (calls, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, referrals, expos, site walk-ins, and partner networks).
° Maintain at least 34× pipeline coverage vs. monthly quota, ensuring accurate CRM updates.
2. Client Discovery & Solution Design:
° Conduct site and office meetings to assess requirements, budgets, and timelines.
° Recommend tailored solutions including product systems, colours, glass types, and add-ons.
° Coordinate technical surveys with Estimations/Operations and interpret BOQs/drawings.
3. Proposal, Negotiation & Closing:
° Manage the quotation process end-to-end with accuracy and speed.
° Present proposals, handle objections, and negotiate within defined guardrails to protect margin.
° Deploy effective closing techniques to secure signed contracts, deposits, and timely approvals.
° Handover confirmed projects to Operations while staying engaged for variations and upselling.
4. Account Growth & Market Insights:
° Expand wallet share with existing clients through referrals and repeat business.
° Monitor competitor activity on specs, pricing, and lead times; share insights to influence strategy.
5. Reporting & Compliance:
° Keep CRM fully updated with contacts, notes, files, pipeline stages, and close dates.
° Submit accurate forecasts and activity reports weekly.
° Participate in pipeline reviews, win/loss analysis, and sales meetings.
Qualifications & Experience:
° 3-5 years proven sales closing experience in building materials, construction, interiors or fenestration.
° Consistent top-quartile performer with documented win rates of 30% on qualified opportunities.
° Strong ability to read and interpret drawings/BOQs and communicate effectively with architects, QS, and contractors.
° Excellent negotiation, presentation, and written communication skills in English & Swahili.
° Proficiency in CRM systems, Google Workspace, and WhatsApp Business.
° Valid drivers license and willingness to travel extensively.
Nice to Have:
° Experience with aluminium window/door systems, curtain walls, shower cubicles, or balustrades.
° Existing networks with developers, contractors, or architects.
° Knowledge of quality/warranty considerations and site compliance requirements.
