Job Description

° The Operations Lead will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and scaling Smartscape’s operational framework. This strategic role demands a commercially astute leader with a hands-on, solutions-oriented mindset. The incumbent will translate the company’s vision into actionable systems that deliver exceptional service quality, operational efficiency, and customer value.

° This role reports directly to the Board of Directors.

Key Responsibilities

° Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy aligned with the company’s growth objectives.

° Design, document, and implement scalable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across core functions.

° Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and assess product-market fit.

° Formulate and execute market entry strategies, including partnership development and pipeline management.

° Optimize daily operations to ensure timely service delivery and process reliability.

° Establish and manage supplier and partner relationships, ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

° Lead financial analysis to evaluate operational initiatives and ensure cost-effectiveness.

° Manage the operations budget with a focus on resource optimization.

° Define and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for operational and service excellence.

° Prepare and present performance reports to the Board, covering operational and financial metrics.

° Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Key Deliverables

Delivery & Execution:

° Achieve 90% on-time milestone completion across operational initiatives

° Develop and implement a 3-month execution plan aligned with strategic goals

° Define a hiring roadmap for critical operational roles

° Oversee onboarding of the core technology platform

Qualifications & Experience

° Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.

° Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in operations leadership, preferably within startups or tech-driven environments.

° Proven track record in building and scaling operational systems from inception.

° Experience in smart home, IoT, or adjacent technology sectors is advantageous.

° Strong leadership, team building, and stakeholder management capabilities.

° Advanced analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.

° Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
