Job Description

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

° Design, configure, and maintain the organization’s network infrastructure, including LANs, WANs, and cloud-based systems.

° Manage network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.

° Establish and enforce security policies to protect data and networks from unauthorized access and cyber threats.

° Monitor systems for vulnerabilities and implement necessary security measures.

° Lead a team in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime.

° Provide high-level technical support for network and system-related problems.

° Plan and manage projects related to system upgrades and migrations.

° Collaborate with senior leadership to develop long-term system strategies.

Qualifications:

° A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognized university.

° Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) (MUST HAVE).

° A minimum of 5-10 years of progressive experience in a similar role, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.

° Deep understanding of network architecture, protocols (TCP/IP), and various operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix).

° Proficient in network security, server management, and cloud computing platforms.

° Knowledge of scripting and automation is essential.

° Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

° Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for team collaboration and explaining technical concepts.

° Leadership, project management, and budget management skills.

Salary: Monthly gross salary; KSH180,000 – 200,000(Approx 1394USD)
