Job Overview
The Accountant will play a critical role in overseeing financial planning, analysis, and reporting to support business decision-making. This role requires a professional who can go beyond transactional accounting to provide strategic insights, manage costs, and enhance profitability. The position involves close collaboration with senior management to ensure compliance, efficiency, and the financial sustainability of operations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business goals.
Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Manage budgets, forecasts, and cash flow to support operational efficiency.
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including payables, receivables, and reconciliations.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax regulations, and industry standards.
Conduct financial risk assessments and recommend corrective actions.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to support data-driven decision-making.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate new projects, pricing models, and investments.
Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff to build capacity within the finance team.
Requirements
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/ACCA qualification preferred).
Minimum of 4 years’ progressive experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a strategic/analytical role.
Strong knowledge of financial regulations, tax compliance, and reporting standards.
Proficiency in accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with leadership and operational teams.
High level of integrity, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
Experience within the telecommunications, ISP, or technology sector will be an added advantage.
