DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Store Operations Management
Oversee day-to-day operations of the supermarket to ensure smooth running.
Open and close the store as per operational schedule.
Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety in all areas of the supermarket.
Handle customer complaints and feedback promptly and professionally.
Staff Management
Supervise and motivate staff to meet performance standards.
Prepare staff work schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels.
Monitor staff attendance and maintain discipline and morale.
Conduct training and mentorship for new and existing employees.
Sales & Customer Service
Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to increase revenue.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
Monitor customer feedback and address areas for improvement.
Inventory & Stock Management
Manage stock levels, ensure timely ordering, and prevent stockouts.
Supervise receiving, storage, and display of goods.
Conduct regular stock takes and report any discrepancies.
Ensure proper pricing and labeling of all products.
Financial Oversight
Monitor daily cash flow and oversee POS operations.
Ensure accuracy in cash handling, reconciliation, and banking.
Control shrinkage, wastage, and pilferage within the store.
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and local regulations.
Maintain documentation including sales reports, expense reports, and inventory logs.
Report daily/weekly/monthly performance to management.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field
2-3 years of proven experience as a Supermarket Supervisor or Manager
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Proficient in MS Office and POS systems
Knowledge of retail management best practices and customer service standards
