To ensure proper management of pharmacy and pharmacy stores, prepares medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders and detecting therapeutic incompatibilities, dispenses medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals.
Roles and Responsibilities
Participating in ward rounds, monitoring medicine use, interactions and adverse reactions.
Monitoring medicine safety, Quality and medication errors (Pharmacovigilance)
Providing drug information Services
Ordering, receiving, storage and issuing of pharmaceuticals
Making entries into the relevant inventory management records and registers
Identify and quarantine unserviceable pharmaceutical supplies
Make presentations on Medicine Use topics at CME forums
Advising on the rational use of medicines
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor of Pharmacy from a recognized institution
Licensed/registered to practice in Kenya by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board
Maintain required continuing education for registration/licensure
3 years of working experience
