Job Description
- Maintain and enhance existing healthcare applications written in PHP.
- Manage databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Administer and optimize AWS infrastructure (EC2, RDS, S3, SES, CloudWatch).
- Develop and integrate REST APIs, including third-party APIs (billing, shipping, communications).
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Implement and uphold security and compliance standards in line with healthcare and data protection requirements.
- Document processes, code changes, and provide knowledge transfer where required.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while keeping stakeholders updated.
Qualifications
Core Technical Expertise
- 5+ years of professional experience in PHP development.
- Strong database management skills (MySQL and/or PostgreSQL).
- Hands-on experience managing AWS services: EC2, RDS, S3, SES, CloudWatch.
- Proficiency with Git version control.
Integration & API Development
- Proven experience in REST API development and integration.
- Track record of integrating third-party APIs (billing, shipping, communication platforms).
Compliance & Security
- Solid understanding of secure coding practices and data protection standards.
- Experience working with sensitive data and ensuring system compliance.
Soft Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (essential for US client interaction).
- Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities.
- Self-driven with the ability to manage priorities independently.
- Good documentation and knowledge transfer capabilities.
