To oversee and optimize day-to-day operations of the facilities management business while driving growth through client acquisition and relationship management. The role requires a seasoned professional with proven experience in facilities management, strong leadership skills, and a commercial mindset to support business development initiatives.
Job Description
Operational Management
- Lead and manage all facilities management services (hard and soft services), ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs), statutory requirements, and health & safety standards.
- Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and cost control to achieve operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage vendor relationships, procurement processes, and performance contracts.
- Monitor maintenance schedules, preventive maintenance programs, and asset management.
Team Leadership
- Supervise, mentor, and motivate site managers, supervisors, and support staff.
- Recruit, train, and retain skilled team members while fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and identify training needs.
Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in facilities management and related services.
- Prepare and deliver proposals, quotations, and presentations to prospective clients.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to secure repeat business and referrals.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on pricing strategies and market positioning.
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare operational reports, financial forecasts, and KPI analyses for management.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, environmental, and occupational health regulations.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of progressive experience in facilities management or property management, with at least 3 years in a senior operations role.
- Proven track record in managing large, multi-site facilities operations.
- Demonstrated success in business development or sales within the FM or related service industry.
