In this role, you will actively support production on shift, champion preventive maintenance activities, and leverage condition monitoring to optimize equipment performance and energy efficiency. Your dedication to aligning with our Quality and Food Safety (Q&FS) systems, as well as our Health, Safety, and Environment standards, ensures that we maintain the highest standards of safety and compliance across our site.
What are we looking for?
Minimum: Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent.
A Minimum of 5 years hands on experience in mechanical maintenance systems and industrial set up with outstanding troubleshooting and technical aptitude
Fluent in English with excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.
Be able to design and follow drawings/schematics, and apply this knowledge in the field to operate, inspect, maintain, and repair equipment.
Ability to trouble-shoot and repair complex mechanical and simple control issues.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and within a team.
Flexibility to work on day and night shifts as required.
Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
What will be your key responsibilities?
Perform troubleshooting and plant diagnosis i.e., Ability to repair Gear and Power Transmission Systems, Drives and Motors, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Conveyors and Handling Systems, Hydraulic Systems, Lubrication Systems etc.
Perform basic troubleshooting of electro-mechanical systems, and competence in basic troubleshooting of simple electrical circuits, motor controls etc.
Basic knowledge of PLCs and experience in troubleshooting PLC-controlled machinery.
Troubleshoot and create innovative solutions to integrate mechanical components with sensors, actuators and control systems.
Competence in root cause analysis using the problem-solving methodologies, e.g six sigma
Follow up on closing all safety, food safety and reliability actions that come through safety / quality audits / near misses or through the various FMOS forums.
Participate in both team and FMOS meetings and make effective decisions keeping quality and safety in mind.
Collaborate with engineers and other team members to identify & implement improvements in the relevant processes.
Implement and continuously review PM & AM system (check lists, execution, standard / nonstandard tasks balance). Embed/Build Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) plan.
Supervision of contractors and suppliers to make sure both safety & food safety quality in operation are in place.
Capability building in area of mechanical systems by coaching, delivering trainings and mentoring to both maintenance peers and production line associates.
Develop & feed mechanical spare parts to stores according to the maintenance strategy.
Respond to line breakdowns to minimize disruption to production, yet at the same time strive to minimize unscheduled breakdowns.
