DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and bake a wide variety of breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods according to recipes and production standards.
Ensure timely preparation of products to meet daily demands and customer expectations.
Measure and mix ingredients following recipes and quality standards.
Operate and maintain baking equipment and tools (e.g., ovens, mixers, dough rollers, etc.).
Monitor baking process and adjust temperatures and baking times as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking area in compliance with food safety standards.
Check the quality of raw and finished products to ensure consistency and freshness.
Collaborate with the kitchen or production team for inventory planning and management.
Minimize waste and contribute to efficient use of materials and ingredients.
Follow all health, safety, and hygiene procedures as per regulatory guidelines.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
Proven experience as a baker in a commercial or industrial kitchen (minimum 1-2 years preferred)
Solid understanding of baking techniques, ingredients, dough preparation, fermentation, and finishing
Knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene practices
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and high-volume environment
Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency in product quality
Physically fit and able to stand for long periods and lift heavy baking supplies
Team player with good communication and time-management skills
Residence near or along Mombasa Road or nearby areas (e.g., South B, South C, Imara Daima, Syokimau, Embakasi) for ease of commute.
