Job Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform general cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
- Sanitize and clean bathrooms, kitchens, and other high-use areas
- Change bed linens, make beds, and manage wardrobe organization
- Handle laundry duties, including washing, drying, ironing, and folding clothes
- Maintain cleanliness of household appliances and surfaces
- Take out trash and manage recycling or composting as needed
- Replenish cleaning supplies and report low stock to the employer
- Follow any specific instructions from the homeowner regarding cleaning routines, schedules, or special care items
- Report any maintenance issues or household repairs needed
- Ensure a high level of hygiene and tidiness throughout the home at all times
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Proven experience as a housekeeper, cleaner, or domestic worker (preferably in a residential setting)
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions
- High level of discretion and integrity when handling personal or sensitive items
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- Good communication skills
- Must live in or around Westlands or nearby environs
Salary: Kshs. 15,000
