Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform general cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
  • Sanitize and clean bathrooms, kitchens, and other high-use areas
  • Change bed linens, make beds, and manage wardrobe organization
  • Handle laundry duties, including washing, drying, ironing, and folding clothes
  • Maintain cleanliness of household appliances and surfaces
  • Take out trash and manage recycling or composting as needed
  • Replenish cleaning supplies and report low stock to the employer
  • Follow any specific instructions from the homeowner regarding cleaning routines, schedules, or special care items
  • Report any maintenance issues or household repairs needed
  • Ensure a high level of hygiene and tidiness throughout the home at all times

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Proven experience as a housekeeper, cleaner, or domestic worker (preferably in a residential setting)
  • Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions
  • High level of discretion and integrity when handling personal or sensitive items
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness
  • Good physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks
  • Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and supplies
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Must live in or around Westlands or nearby environs
Salary: Kshs. 15,000
