Team Supervision
Allocate tasks to the team, supervise, check and monitor progress of tasks executed by the team, guide, motivate, and assist where needed.
Set team function priorities.
Ensure an SOP/LWI is in place with the main customers, and ensure this is being adhered to by both the customer and Airflo.
Handle escalations from the team.
Review the performance of individuals as per set KPIs.
Identify new potential customers and, within the team, communicate and pursue onboarding these customers with the company.
Operational Processes
Have an overview of day-to-day and weekly planning and guide the team. Ensure the daily planner is updated correctly and on time.
Organize low- and high-season planning for all clients with the guidance of the line manager.
Define the preferred carriers for line flight shipments.
Follow up on claims (internal and airline) and update the claims department.
Coordinate where necessary with OKAM and B&P where required for any shared clients.
Handle all team administrative responsibilities. E.g., duty roster, farm visits, leave plans, stationery, etc.
Stakeholder management
Contact line flight carriers for rates and liaise with the pricing team for quotations.
Communicate with shippers/consignees on the best capacity planning options based on pivot weight, airline equipment, and number of boxes.
Handle and manage customer escalations on any issues until they are closed conclusively.
Follow up on new client onboarding to completion.
Compliance
Adhere to all health and safety SOPs of the company.
Have the highest degree of integrity as guided by company policies.
Requirements
“O” Level (KCSE) B-.
Diploma in any relevant commercial course/aviation course (preferably IATA forwarding).
Hands-on experience of at least 4 (four) years and above
Proficiency in Microsoft® Office Software (Excel®, Word®, PowerPoint®, and others)
Experience with CargoWise or a similar TMS will be an added advantage.
