Job Description

WAYS YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE

 

Contribute to ongoing Centre for Innovative Teaching & Learning (CITL) strategy development and workplan

 

Support the implementation of the EdTech Fellowship program in collaboration with Tech Hubs and Fellows.

 

Coordinate key activities, events, and ecosystem communications to ensure cohesion and engagement.

 

Contribute to the development and dissemination of knowledge products, case studies, and learning reports.

 

Monitor and document program progress, challenges, and outcomes to inform continuous improvement.

 

Support the development of the partnerships necessary to catalyze the Edtech ecosystem in Africa.

 

Provide hands‑on guidance to EdTech fellows, Tech Hubs, and partners on strategy, product design, testing, validation, and market-readiness

 

Support relationship management with EdTech Fellows, Tech Hubs, and other ecosystem actors.

 

Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of program activities, collecting data, and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).

 

Supporting in identifying opportunities for collaboration and innovation within the EdTech space.

 

Stay informed on emerging trends, innovations, and policy developments in EdTech across Africa.

 

Engage with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to gather insights, share updates, and foster collaborative relationships.

 

Contribute to the documentation of lessons learned, best practices, and case studies from EdTech initiatives.

 

Stay on top of developments in the EdTech space – new concepts, key partner, new information being generated, policy movements, important upcoming events, etc.

 

WHO YOU ARE

 

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Education, Technology, or related fields; or equivalence professional experience.

 

At least 8 years in program management, preferably within the EdTech, technology,in education, EdTech, or innovation ecosystems.

 

Experience and expertise in supporting EdTech entrepreneurs or tech-for-development startups.

 

Experience effectively engaging with high-level government officials, key partners, media, business leaders and other network influencers.

 

Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

 

Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate information to various constituents across cultures.

 

Excellent knowledge of key issues, emerging trends, and barriers in education and technology integration and a strong understanding of education policy and practice across Africa.

 

Demonstrated commitment to the Mastercard Foundation’s values and vision.

 

Flexible, adaptable, and able to execute a range of job duties and changing priorities.

 

Possess professional maturity, sensitivity with different cultures, and impeccable integrity.
