Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in accordance with the nursing curriculum.
Use innovative teaching methods, including simulations, demonstrations, and case studies, to enhance learning.
Oversee students during clinical placements, ensuring they gain hands-on experience in line with course objectives.
Provide guidance and feedback to students during practical sessions.
Mentor and advise students on academic, personal, and professional development matters.
Identify and address students' learning needs to ensure their success.
Prepare and administer tests, assignments, and exams to evaluate students' progress.
Stay updated on advancements in nursing and education through continuous professional development.
Qualifications and Experience:
A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BScN) or a Diploma in Nursing with a Teaching Certificate. A Master's Degree in Nursing or a related field is an added advantage.
Current licensure with the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).
At least 3 years of clinical nursing experience.
Prior experience in teaching or training in a healthcare or academic setting is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and ethics.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills.
Proficiency in using technology for teaching and administrative tasks.
