Description

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills, ethical practice, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in accordance with established standards and policies.

Perform patient assessments, develop care plans, implement nursing interventions, and evaluate outcomes.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records, nursing assessments, and care plans.

Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and preventive care.

Collaborate with doctors, specialists, and other healthcare staff to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.

Ensure infection prevention and control protocols are strictly followed.

Participate in health promotion and community outreach initiatives when required.

Report any unusual symptoms, incidents, or changes in patients’ conditions to the attending physician or supervisor.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing (KRCHN) from a recognized institution.

Must be registered and licensed by the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).

Minimum of 3 years' post-licensure experience in a busy clinical setting (hospital, health center, or clinic).

Proficiency in using electronic medical records is desirable.
