Overall Purpose of the Position

The position is responsible for loading and unloading materials, transporting goods safely, stacking materials, and maintaining the forklift.

Key Performance Areas

Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the plant facility.

Ensure proper handling and delivery of sensitive materials.

Stack and organize materials efficiently.

Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts and report any necessary repair required.

Contribute to a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment

Reporting safety near misses and improvement suggestions.

Adhere to all Mabati Rolling Mills safety protocols and company policies.

Attend to other duties as assigned by the line supervisor

Working environment requires that the forklift operator wear Personal Protective Equipements all the time for safety reasons.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

Minimum academic qualification: KCSE

Minimum 3 years’ relevant work experience

Valid License in forklift operation/ certificate in forklift operation
