We are seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Salon Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our clients and visitors. The Salon Receptionist will play a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere, managing appointments, and assisting with various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, a professional demeanor, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Relations:

  • Greet clients and visitors with a warm and welcoming attitude, creating a positive first impression.
  • Provide information about salon services, packages, pricing, and promotions to potential clients.
  • Schedule appointments, ensuring efficient and accurate booking using salon management software.
  • Assist clients in rescheduling or canceling appointments as needed, and maintain a well-organized appointment calendar.

Administrative Support:

  • Manage incoming phone calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries, addressing client needs and directing them to the appropriate salon staff.
  • Maintain a neat and organized front desk area, ensuring it reflects the salon's high standards of cleanliness and professionalism.
  • Process client payments, issue receipts, and manage cash register operations.
  • Handle retail product sales, inventory management, and assist with reordering supplies as necessary.

Communication and Coordination:

  • Communicate effectively with salon stylists, technicians, and other team members to ensure seamless customer experiences.
  • Relay messages and appointment updates to staff members in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Collaborate with salon management to organize and execute events, promotions, and special projects.

Client Care:

  • Listen attentively to client needs and concerns, offering solutions and recommendations for services based on their preferences.
  • Manage client inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and empathetic manner, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of salon services, treatments, and product offerings to provide accurate information to clients.

Multitasking and Time Management:

  • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, managing walk-ins, and assisting clients with retail purchases.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively to ensure smooth operations and minimal client wait times.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in customer service or hospitality is a plus.
  • Proven experience (2 years) in a customer service, receptionist, or front desk role, preferably within the beauty or salon industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and positive demeanor.
  • Proficiency in using salon management software, point-of-sale systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations with grace and professionalism.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on salon needs.
  • Knowledge of beauty and wellness services, products, and trends is advantageous.
