Job Description

Project Implementation

  • Plan, coordinate, and ensure the timely implementation of project activities in line with the proposal.
  • Develop operating procedures, guidelines, and work plans to achieve project objectives
  • Team Leadership and Training
  • Supervise and support Research Assistants to ensure adherence to protocols and quality standards.
  • Plan and deliver research team training in collaboration with Burman University.
  • Data Collection and Analysis
  • Oversee the implementation of youth and community-led data collection using ICT tools like ODK.
  • Coordinate data analysis workshops with the Community Advisory Board to ensure
  • insights are contextualized, prioritized, and actionable.
  • Ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of data collection activities and maintain accurate records
  • Community Engagement
  • Facilitate the establishment and functioning of a Multi-Stakeholder Community Advisory Board.
  • Lead participatory research training sessions for youth leaders, community members, and stakeholders.
  • Plan and coordinate advisory board and steering committee meetings
  • Advocacy and Knowledge Translation
  • Represent the consortium in county, national, and international forums.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Oversee the operationalization of Knowledge Translation Hubs to enhance digital literacy and advocacy skills.
  • Organize community feedback sessions where youth share findings with the broader community using ICT-based approaches
  • Sustainability and Scale-Up
  • Participate in the development of concept notes and proposals for new funding opportunities based on lessons learned and identified gaps.
  • Identify and develop new research-based partnerships to expand or scale up project interventions.
  • Others
  • Perform any other tasks appropriate to the post and as assigned by the Project PI or their designee.

Desired Competencies and Minimum Qualifications

  • Education Master’s degree in public health or related field
  • Experience Minimum of 3 years of experience in public health research coordination or project management.
  • Demonstrated experience in gender-transformative programming related to SRHR and CEFM
