Responsibilities:
Partnership management
- Coordinate the implementation of the Partner of Choice action plan (including the review and implementation of the partnership engagement and management plan).
- Lead other departments to conduct partner mapping and build a network of key partners, keeping abreast of evolving trends (social, economic, and political), including the application of innovation to program and partnership development
- Develop relationships and identify meaningful engagement opportunities to deepen partner penetration by establishing strategic relationships etc.
- Develop/input/review all key partnership documents to ensure quality and compliance: reviewing all partnering MOUs/agreements and/ contractual documents, prequalification procedures and tailored sub-grant management SOPs using WV standards and procedures,
- Coordinate and collaborate with relevant partnership personnel at NO, Regional office as well as key business units (Grants, Finance, Programme Operations) to ensure aligned and coherent interactions with partners.
- Develop, track and report on partner performance metrics.
- Facilitate the annual partnership health check to build and review partner portfolios based on Partnership Performance and Health Checks and support the development of an adaptive action plan
- Provide input for donor reports and proposals as needed in relation to partnerships and localization
- Work with the grants management team to ensure that partnership tools and financial standards meet donor requirements
- Provide strategic direction to the Partnering committee; a cross functional committees that coordinates an end to end partnering process.
Partnering capacity strengthening
- Collaborate with P&C (Human Resource) and the Programme Impact and Effectiveness team to assess and support staff capacity building requirements for partnering
- Coordinate across teams to carry out partner organizational capacity assessments and analyze assessments to identify specific capacity strengthening and organizational development needs
- Coordinate the handover of partner capacity assessment reports in the project handover and the capacity building plans in collaboration with Operations, Governance, Risk and Program effectiveness
- Coordinate the development of partnering guidelines
- Working with other departments e.g. communications, coordinate capacity building for staff, consortium partners, sub-grantees in partnering, negotiation networking, collaboration & sub-granting etc.
Partnership communication and information management
- Lead the development of partnering management information system that consolidates partnering documents as well as monitor performance
- Contribute to the dissemination and sharing of best practices and lessons learned in forums for planning and knowledge building on partnership development in collaboration with the communication manager.
- Collaborate with Communications manager to ensure we have effective partner journeys, care, and stewardship
- Work with the DMEAL manager to create online knowledge sharing platform for and with other key partners.
- Collaborate closely with different departments to consistently institutionalize partnering in WVK systems and processes.
- Provide regular feedback on existing systems, tools and resources to ensure its relevance to day-to-day operations

KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE
Required Professional Experience
- Experience in developing and executing partnerships with multilaterals, international development organizations, governments, foundations, international NGOs or private sector organizations.
- Practical experience in working with national and international partners on programming and partnering capacity-strengthening.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in donor compliance and procedures across the project cycle
- Prior experience in acquisition and grant management coupled with business intelligence
- Prior experience working in international organizations, international development, post-disaster and/or emergency contexts would also be an advantage.
- Excellent problem solving and good analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent writing and reporting skills required
Required Education and Certifications
- Master’s degree in international development studies, social sciences and/or business administration, public administration, Marketing, Communications or related field from a recognized university.
- A minimum of 5 years in International and organizational development
- Practical trainings or courses in partnerships principles and capacity-strengthening
Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications
- Business strategy and relationship management
- Computer proficient in use of Microsoft office
- Coordination and engagement skills
- Police Clearance Certificate
