Our client is seeking a General Manager who will lead and oversee all aspects of the business, ensuring the smooth operation of departments, achievement of business targets, and growth of market presence. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of retail dynamics, a business development mindset, and the ability to set and achieve strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership and Planning
- Develop and implement business strategies to achieve company goals and maintain a competitive edge.
- Analyze market trends and seasonal demands to adjust business strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with the Director to set targets, roadmaps, and performance benchmarks.
Department Oversight and Coordination
- Supervise and provide leadership to all departments, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Conduct regular evaluations of departmental performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Foster collaboration and communication across departments to optimize operations.
Business Development and Growth
- Identify new market opportunities and develop strategies to expand the business.
- Strengthen relationships with suppliers and customers to ensure seamless operations.
- Innovate and introduce new products or services based on market demand and customer feedback.
Performance Monitoring and Evaluation
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor progress towards achieving them.
- Conduct regular reviews of individual and team performance, providing feedback and support.
- Implement improvement plans to address performance gaps.
Retail Operations Management
- Oversee retail operations to ensure efficient and customer-focused service delivery.
- Monitor inventory levels and supply chain processes to avoid disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and quality standards for health and personal care products.
Reporting and Stakeholder Engagement
- Prepare and present regular performance and progress reports to the Director.
- Act as a liaison between the Director and the operational teams to ensure strategic alignment.
- Represent the company in meetings, conferences, and other industry-related events.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Master’s in business administration, Management, or a related field, with over 7 years of experience in retail management, preferably within the health and personal care industry.
- Relevant additional certifications are a plus.
- Proven track record of driving business growth and operational excellence.
- Strong leadership capabilities, with demonstrated success in team management and development.
- Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of retail dynamics, including seasonal trends and market shifts.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
- Analytical, results-oriented, and goal-driven, with a demonstrated ability to set, track, and achieve targets.
- Proficient in using business management and reporting tools to streamline operations and optimize performance.
