Firstcry Retail DWC-LLC Dubai is looking for a Retail Buyer / Category Manager E-commerce with the primary responsibility of determining buying requirements and creating buying plans for assigned categories, as per the following requirements:

Job location: Dubai South, UAE

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, merchandising, influencers, warehouse, operations, and finance) to identify opportunities, develop strategies, and drive organizational goals.
  • Build and maintain a strong product assortment that meets the needs of platform users and business objectives.
  • Monitor and evaluate product performance, adjusting orders as necessary to align with consumer demand and sales performance.
  • Ensure minimum stockouts by maintaining visibility of next availability and alternative product options.
  • Support timely closing of receivables and payables to maintain healthy financial operations.
  • Generate weekly, monthly, and yearly reports covering sales, stock levels, promotions, and offers.
  • Manage exclusive product offers, special selections, and seasonal promotions to enhance product offerings.
  • Identify trends and opportunities by adjusting the assortment in the warehouse, managing liabilities through strategic purchasing and clearance of products.
  • Successfully onboard new brands, negotiate favorable credit terms, and ensure timely product launches on the platform.
  • Monitor competitor pricing and product ranges to ensure competitive pricing and parity within the market.
  • Track brand performance and implement corrective actions to ensure business targets and financial parameters are met.
  • Lead by example in ethical practices and guide junior team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Foster healthy relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring business growth and goal achievement.
  • Ensure seamless supply flow from partners to meet business objectives.
  • Support the execution of joint business plans and ensure targets and rewards are achieved.
  • Source product samples for internal reviews, influencer collaborations, and giveaways.
  • Ensure best-selling products are consistently in stock and available for customers.
  • Review and manage product content across platforms, ensuring all assets are relevant and updated.
  • Handle customer queries, complaints, and provide suggestions for product use or defect resolutions.
  • Close deals based on historical trends and price considerations while ensuring margin health and meeting sales targets.
  • Monitor and analyze site performance to suggest improvements for revenue generation and customer experience enhancement.
  • Support suppliers with queries and tasks while ensuring mutual benefit for both organizations.
  • Recommend new system enhancements, onsite experiences, and product developments to improve efficiency.
  • Assist in the selection and ordering of home-brand products to meet organizational goals.
  • Participate in market collaborations and events to improve networking and meet business objectives.
  • Maintain high ethical standards and ensure alignment with company and partner values.
  • Apply innovative thinking to avoid incorrect purchases and minimize risks through strategic assortment planning.
  • Review and ensure that all onsite events, promotions, and launches align with strategic plans and marketing calendars.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in U.A.E,in Retail Buying or Merchandising and E-commerce retail.
  • Strong technical and business acumen
  • Proficient in MS Office and other organizational tools
  • Strong negotiation, influencing skills, and a basic understanding of pricing logic
  • Attention to detail, trend analysis, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team, demonstrate leadership, and mentor junior team members
  • Quick learner with a passion for retail business and product development
  • Bachelor’s degree (minimum)
  • Fluent in English and Hindi (additional languages are a plus)
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Curiosity-driven, adaptable, and open to feedback
  • Ability to multi-task and manage partner and stakeholder relationships
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle a fast-paced work environment
  • High level of integrity and ethical business practices

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED9,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
