The network uses advanced 50G-PON (Passive Optical Network) technology which builds on existing fibre-optic infrastructure to deliver download speeds approaching 9,834 Mbps, upload speeds around 1,008 Mbps, and latency as low as 3 milliseconds.
For users this means dramatic improvements in applications such as 8K video streaming, cloud gaming, augmented reality, smart cities and large-scale industrial connectivity.
