The decision was revealed by Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi with the support of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Since entering Martian orbit in 2021, the mission has delivered unprecedented atmospheric data, high-resolution images, and over 10 terabytes of scientific information shared globally.
The extension will deepen understanding of Mars’ atmosphere while strengthening the United Arab Emirates role in space science.
