Employers are now required to provide free internet access, proper accommodation or housing allowances, and better health and welfare facilities.
Large worker accommodations with 1,000 or more residents must include 24-hour medical clinics, recreational areas, and financial service support.
The rules also mandate clean water, sanitation, pest control, emergency plans, and multilingual written guidance on workers’ rights and safety.
These measures aim to enhance living conditions, safety, and overall wellbeing of workers in the UAE.
