The new trains, set to begin delivery by the end of 2028 and fully delivered by 2031, will increase annual passenger capacity to over 30 million, serving the route between Makkah and Madinah with stops in Jeddah, King Abdulaziz Airport, and King Abdullah Economic City.
Each train will feature 13 cars, including economy, business, and a dedicated coach for passengers with disabilities. This expansion aims to enhance travel efficiency, safety, and comfort, especially for pilgrims during peak seasons.
