The 14-km stretch connecting Sharjah, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi has been rehabilitated to ensure a safe and comfortable drive, reducing traffic congestion for daily commuters.
The project, carried out over 2–3 months in planned phases, included resurfacing fast and slow lanes using advanced technology to identify and fix structural issues. Multiple asphalt layers were applied to heavy-traffic areas, promising a smoother and long-lasting commute.
Motorists can now expect a more predictable and efficient journey along one of the busiest corridors in the UAE. The reopening coincides with the start of the school year, benefiting daily travellers and easing peak-hour traffic.
