Since 2021, nearly 20,000 LEDs have saved 16.7 million kWh of electricity and cut carbon emissions significantly.
Alongside, RTA installed solar panels at 22 facilities, generating 32 million kWh annually and preventing 10,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions.
These efforts support Dubai’s Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and Integrated Energy Strategy 2030, advancing net-zero emissions in public transport by 2050.
In 2024, energy-saving initiatives reduced fuel, water use, and emissions drastically.
