The project, envisioned as a giant moon-shaped destination, is expected to feature hotels, entertainment and other attractions as part of the wider Moon Smart City concept. The estimated investment is $5 billion, while the project could attract millions of visitors each year.
However, the Moon Sphere remains a concept at this stage, with no construction started, confirmed location or government development agreement. If construction begins as previously proposed, the project could potentially be completed around 2032.
