The project is planned across multiple phases with an estimated investment of up to $20 billion.
The integrated destination will feature luxury hotels, branded residences, a marina, retail, dining, entertainment, wellness, healthcare and education facilities. Homes will be offered under leasehold terms of up to 99 years.
The project will be built on reclaimed land with marine monitoring during construction. It is also expected to create thousands of jobs and boost the Maldives’ real estate and tourism sectors.
