๐ง Your unread email did.
I donโt understand how you can be actively job hunting and not checking your emails regularly.
Hereโs the hard truth: not all recruiters or HR professionals will call to nudge you to check your email. For many, once the interview invite is sent, thatโs it.
I learned this lesson the hard way. A few years ago, I missed an interview simply because I didnโt check my email on time. I reached out later for another opportunity, and got no response. Since then, anytime Iโm actively applying for jobs, checking my email (including spam) has been part of my daily routine.
On the recruiter side, I once sent interview invites to over 12 candidates. On the interview day, only 3 showed up. When I called the others, most said they never saw the email because they didnโt check their inbox.
That experience changed how I recruit. I now make the extra effort to call candidates before and after sending interview invites. But the reality is- not all recruiters will do this.
Dear job seekers, youโre already doing the hard part by applying. Now take it one step further:
โ๏ธ Check your email daily
โ๏ธ Check your spam folder
โ๏ธ Respond promptly
Opportunities donโt always knock twice. Sometimes, they land quietly in your inbox.
