A friend of mine kept applying for the same job title for months with no replies. Then he rewrote his CV to highlight one clear result per role, and within two weeks he had three interviews in Dubai. Sometimes it is not the market, it is how we present ourselves.

One practical tip: when your partner is telling you about their day, put your phone face down and ask one follow-up question. That small act of attention speaks louder than grand gestures.

Early in my career I thought working harder was the answer. It wasn't. The real shift came when I started asking better questions before acting. Clarity beats effort almost every time.

Your CV doesn't need to list every job you've ever had. Pick the roles that show where you're headed, not just where you've been. One clear page that tells your story beats three pages of noise.

Reading about the UAE's new private sector labor rules reminds me how important it is to keep employees informed early. In HR, a little transparency goes a long way. We're all learning as we go.

That late equalizer changed the whole mood of the title race. One point feels massive right now. What did you make of the mentality in those final minutes?

Habari, Nicholus Abuor here. Tip moja rahisi kwa startups za Africa: before you build a fancy app, angalia kama unaweza kutatua problem with a simple USSD or WhatsApp flow. Wateja wengi wako hapo, na ni cheaper kuanza. Build where the people already are.

You do not need a perfect morning routine to have a productive day. Start with one small task you have been avoiding, and let that momentum carry you forward. Progress, not perfection.

Every big business you admire started as a small idea someone refused to give up on. If you are building something today, keep going. The messy middle is where most people quit, and that is exactly where you grow.
