I recently followed some UAE job pages on LinkedIn and started receiving interview emails. At first, I noticed red flags: spelling mistakes, no candidate name, vague company names, and suspicious email addresses.
Despite this, I went to one interview. When I arrived:
* No office signage
* HR office had only two tables and chairs—no PC or laptop
* Interviewer offered me a Team Leader position and increased the salary on the spot
Then came the biggest red flag: they asked me to pay for my visa. I informed them that I would come back—but I never did.
Later, I realized all those UAE job pages I had followed never mentioned company names, official emails, or real company pages. I unfollowed them immediately, and I no longer receive those types of emails.
💡 Lesson: Scammers are targeting job seekers, preying on those genuinely looking for work. Stay alert. Verify company details. Never pay for a job.
