Today, I attended an interview only to be told upon arrival that they had already hired someone else the day before, the same day I received the interview invitation. I had already spent time, money, and effort getting there.
You never know what a candidate has had to sacrifice just to show up and try their best for an opportunity.
Rejection is part of job hunting. Being left uninformed is different.
