Meta’s Threads just got a big update. Threads adds communities to put your interests front and center, letting you join dedicated spaces for your favorite topics. Whether you’re into K-pop, books, pro basketball, or AI, you’ll now be able to discover posts and conversations that match your passions.

Communities That Feel Personal

With this new feature, you can explore communities in Threads that function a lot like Reddit channels or X’s groups. Once you join, your profile gets labeled with your community membership, and that group’s posts are pinned to your feed menu for quick access.

That means if you join NBA Threads, for example, you’ll see basketball highlights and conversations right at the top of your app. Currently, there are already more than 100 communities available worldwide.

A Natural Extension Of Topics And Feeds

This rollout builds on Threads’ existing tools, like topics and custom feeds. Those already let you curate your app experience, but adding communities makes things feel even more personal and interactive.
