St George have won their second BetKing Ethiopia Premier League game of the season after beating newly promoted Hambericho 2-1 on Friday.
Ethiopian Insurance and Fasil Kenema played out a 1-1 draw in the day's second game.
St George went ahead in the 25th minute courtesy of a goal by Abel Yalew and took a 1-0 lead into the halftime break.
The Horsemen were very much in control of the second half and they were soon 2-0 up in the 63rd minute through Amanuel Arbo.
However, Hambericho rallied late in the game and pulled a goal back in the second minute of added time through Dagim Bekele, but it wasn't enough to prevent St George from walking away with the spoils.
Ethiopian Insurance came into their fixture with confidence after beating Bahir Dar in their opening game, but Fasil Kenema had other ideas.
Fasil scored first through Biruk Mulugeta on 20 minutes to go 1-0 up and Insurance failed to respond.
The first half ended 1-0 with Fasil hoping to secure victory in the second half.
However, Surafel Dagnachew burst their bubble in the 65th minute bring the scores level
There were no further goals and the two teams had to be content with sharing the honours in what was a truly entertaining game.
