Users can purchase additional video credits directly through the App Store, giving them freedom to create beyond the standard free allowance. However, OpenAI has also hinted that free video generations will soon be reduced as part of a broader shift toward monetization.

OpenAI’s new pricing model gives creators more flexibility but comes at a cost. According to the App Store listing, ten additional video generations cost $4, though each video’s credit usage depends on its length, resolution, and complexity. Once users hit their daily limit—100 for Pro subscribers and 30 for free users—they’ll be prompted to buy more credits. These credits last for up to 12 months and can even be used across OpenAI tools like Codex.
