Curious about smart home devices that don’t need Wi-Fi or apps? Emerson’s new SmartVoice appliances let you control fans, heaters, electric plugs, and air fryers entirely by voice. Designed by IAI Smart, these devices rely on built-in microphones and on-device processing, meaning your personal data stays private. No hub, app, or network connection is required, making them ideal for anyone looking for simple, secure voice control.
The SmartVoice line responds to wake-up words and verbal commands using embedded microphones. Most devices include built-in speakers that confirm commands audibly, creating a truly interactive experience. “Our goal is simple: make smart home technology easier for everyone,” said Jason Jiang, CEO of IAI Smart. With SmartVoice, setting up a smart home is as easy as talking, and users don’t have to worry about personal information leaving their home network.
The first products include SmartVoice Tower Fans, available in 29-inch ($89.99), 40-inch ($99.99), and 42-inch ($119.99) models. They feature three-speed settings, 15-hour sleep timers, LED touch displays, and over 40 voice commands. Fans also come with integrated scent diffusers for aromatherapy enthusiasts. These features make it simple to adjust comfort settings without ever touching a button.
SmartVoice Fan-Heaters are available in 25-inch ($129.99) and 32-inch ($169.99) sizes, delivering 1,500 watts of wide-angle heat. They include anti-tipping protection and auto-shutoff timers for safety. Like the fans, they support over 40 voice commands, allowing hands-free operation that’s convenient for cold mornings or chilly evenings.
The SmartVoice Electric Plugs come in three variations: single-plug ($24.99), dual-plug ($29.99), and a dual-plug with USB-A and USB-C ports ($34.99). These plugs bring simple voice-controlled automation to any device, from lamps to chargers. Users can now power on or off devices with a word, no Wi-Fi required.
IAI Smart’s SmartVoice Air Fryers support over 1,000 voice commands, making cooking easier than ever. Whether adjusting temperature, starting a cooking cycle, or checking progress, the device responds instantly. With intuitive voice operation and no app setup, it simplifies everyday kitchen tasks while keeping data private.
By removing the need for Wi-Fi, hubs, and apps, SmartVoice devices lower barriers for adopting smart home technology. Their combination of privacy, convenience, and intuitive voice control makes them appealing for tech enthusiasts and casual users alike. Emerson’s SmartVoice line may be the first step toward more independent, secure, and user-friendly smart appliances.
