Satechi has introduced the ChargeView 240W Desktop Charger, the follow-up to last year's 140W model. The new charger can power multiple devices simultaneously, distributing 240W across six USB-C ports.
The ChargeView 240W features an LCD display that shows the live wattage for each port in use. The C1 and C2 ports can deliver up to 140W each, while C3 and C4 provide up to 100W each. The remaining two ports supply up to 30W. These are maximum ratings; actual output varies depending on how many ports are active. When all six ports are in use, the power splits as 70W/70W/30W/30W/20W/20W.
The charger comes in Space Black with a metallic matte finish and a glossy display cover. The color is designed to complement Apple products such as the MacBook Pro and Studio Display. An included stand allows the charger to be positioned horizontally or vertically on a desk.
Using GaN technology, the ChargeView 240W remains compact and operates silently with no fan. According to Satechi, the device redistributes power when a new device is plugged in, which may cause a brief interruption in charging.
The ChargeView 240W is available for $149.99 from the Satechi website and Amazon.
