The Peloton issues recall for 833,000 bikes over faulty seat posts tied to models manufactured in Taiwan from 2019–2022. Look for model number PL02 and serial numbers beginning with “T.” Units were sold directly and through Amazon, eBay, and Dick’s Sporting Goods. The reported problem: the seat post may crack or detach during rides.
As part of the recall, Peloton is offering free redesigned seat posts that customers can install themselves. This is a proactive safety measure after three reported breakages and two injuries. The replacement does not affect the newly launched Bike Plus Cross Training series, which is not included.
