OnePlus Nord 5 Launch: Everything You Need to Know About the Upcoming Devices
If you’ve been waiting for the next OnePlus mid-range phone, the OnePlus Nord 5 is officially launching on July 8th—and it’s coming with company. Alongside the Nord 5, OnePlus has confirmed four other devices: the Nord CE5, a new smartwatch, an entry-level tablet, and fresh earbuds. Designed to strike a balance between performance and price, the Nord 5 is shaping up to be the most powerful Nord phone yet, now powered by a flagship-level Snapdragon 8S Gen 3 chipset. Whether you're a longtime OnePlus fan or just curious about the latest Android mid-rangers, here’s everything we know.
OnePlus Nord 5 Gets a Flagship Chip and Sleek New Design
The OnePlus Nord 5 is making waves as the first in the Nord series to pack a flagship Qualcomm processor. The Snapdragon 8S Gen 3, built for high-end performance at a lower cost, is paired with LPDDR5X RAM and a redesigned cooling system. Visually, the Nord 5 features a soft “Dry Ice” blue finish and a dual rear camera setup. While full specifications will be unveiled during the July launch event, OnePlus has already hinted at performance and AI upgrades that push the Nord 5 well beyond previous generations.
What to Expect From the Nord CE5 and OnePlus Pad Lite
Joining the Nord 5 is the more affordable OnePlus Nord CE5, available in a “Marble Mist” colorway. Although specs are still under wraps, both Nord models will debut the new customizable Plus Key, replacing the traditional Alert Slider. The AI-powered Plus Mind feature will enhance personalization and task automation across both phones. Meanwhile, OnePlus also teased the OnePlus Pad Lite, an entry-level Android tablet expected to feature an 11-inch LCD display and MediaTek Helio G100 chip. A leaked spec sheet suggests the Pad Lite may also offer a cellular version for more on-the-go use.
New OnePlus Watch and Buds 4 Also Launching
OnePlus fans who love wearable tech aren’t being left out. The company confirmed a smaller 43mm model of the OnePlus Watch 3, joining the existing 47mm version. It’s a more compact option for those wanting a sleek smartwatch without sacrificing functionality. Also incoming are the OnePlus Buds 4, set to deliver improved sound with dual drivers, Hi-Res Audio support, and new color choices like green and dark gray. These accessories round out OnePlus’ expanding ecosystem, appealing to Android users looking for seamless device integration at mid-range prices.
