The company revealed a lineup of multiplayer titles arriving later this holiday season, letting users play directly on their TVs using their phones as controllers.

According to Netflix, the setup is simple — just pick a game from the new “Games” tab and connect your phone. The company says the process is “as easy as streaming a show on a Friday night,” emphasizing accessibility and family-friendly fun.

Netflix’s Party Games Are Designed For Everyone

The initial lineup includes Lego Party, a colorful co-op builder game, and Party Crashers: Fool Your Friends, a social deception title reminiscent of Among Us. Classic word and puzzle fans will enjoy modern takes on Boggle and Pictionary, while Tetris Time Warp brings back the nostalgic block-stacking challenge from Digital Eclipse’s Tetris Forever collection.

This blend of classic and new experiences suggests Netflix aims to attract both casual players and long-time gamers.

Netflix’s Shift Toward Interactive Entertainment

While Netflix has offered mobile games for years, this marks its first real push into cloud-based, TV-ready gaming. The company confirmed earlier in 2025 that co-op and multiplayer titles are now central to its strategy.

At the Game Developers Conference in March, Netflix’s gaming CEO Alain Tascan described multiplayer experiences as one of the company’s four main gaming pillars — alongside narrative games, kid-friendly titles, and big-name releases like Squid Game: Unleashed. “We’re starting with those,” Tascan said, “and we might add more down the road if it makes sense.”

There’s still no confirmed release date, but Netflix promises that its first TV party games — including Lego, Boggle, and Tetris — are coming soon.
