To put that in perspective, this capacity is enough to power the entire country of Ireland. Building Next-Generation Nuclear Reactors

As part of these deals, Meta is directly funding the construction of new nuclear reactors. The first of these reactors could be operational as early as 2030, providing clean energy for the company’s AI supercomputers. Meta’s Prometheus project, its first supercluster AI system, is set to launch this year in New Albany, Ohio. By integrating nuclear energy, Meta aims to significantly reduce reliance on traditional power sources while supporting the energy-intensive demands of advanced AI operations.
