Meta AI funnels AI videos from creators into new ‘Vibes’ feed, giving users a fresh way to explore short-form, AI-generated content. The new feed focuses on remixing and sharing videos, designed to spark creativity while making Meta’s AI tools more engaging and social.
What Is The Vibes Feed?
On Thursday, Meta AI rolled out Vibes, a new feed of AI-generated videos built to encourage users to remix and experiment with content. Unlike traditional short-form platforms, Vibes blends creator-driven AI videos with community remixes, creating a space for playful collaboration.
Users can post their own AI creations to the feed or cross-post them across Meta platforms like Instagram and Facebook. For those already swimming in AI-generated content, Vibes is Meta’s attempt to centralize and amplify the trend.
A Shift From Discover To Vibes
Vibes replaces the older Discover feed, which showcased prompts and AI interactions. According to Connor Hayes, Meta’s VP of product, Discover was originally designed to highlight “what people can do with AI.”
Now, the focus is squarely on video. Vibes aims to inspire creativity by pairing AI-generated clips with the exact prompts used to create them. For example, one viral video featuring muscular, fluffy mountain goats bounding through snow came from a detailed prompt that displayed directly alongside the clip.
Remixing AI Videos Made Easy
A core feature of Vibes is remixing. Users can:
-
Add or change background music
-
Alter visuals or animations
-
Reimagine the original video with new styles
Once edited, videos can be posted back to the Vibes feed or shared as Instagram Stories and Reels, or on Facebook. Instagram users even get a one-tap option to remix Meta AI videos through the app.
Meta’s Bigger AI Push
Vibes isn’t launching in isolation—it’s part of Meta’s broader strategy to infuse AI across its platforms. Users can already generate AI images in Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. Just last month, Meta unveiled new AI-powered creative tools, underscoring the company’s bet that generative media will define the next phase of social interaction.
With Meta AI funnels AI videos from creators into new ‘Vibes’ feed, the company is signaling that short-form, AI-driven content is here to stay—and that the future of social media could be powered as much by prompts as by people.
