LG’s new TV is designed to be easier for seniors to use, offering features that make entertainment more accessible and less frustrating for older audiences. Called the LG Easy TV, this model focuses on simplifying everyday interactions with technology so seniors can enjoy streaming, video calls, and reminders without confusion.
A TV Built With Seniors In Mind
The LG Easy TV comes with a streamlined home screen, larger fonts, and fewer apps to reduce clutter. Unlike traditional smart TVs, it prioritizes ease of use by offering only essential apps that seniors are most likely to need.
It also enhances picture brightness and sound clarity—two areas where seniors often face difficulties. Plus, a built-in camera allows for easy video calls with family members or quick tech support from loved ones.
Helpful Features Beyond Entertainment
What sets this TV apart is its focus on everyday life. The Easy TV can be programmed to display pop-up reminders, such as taking medication or watering plants. These small but thoughtful features transform the television into a supportive tool for seniors living independently.
Availability And Pricing
Currently, the LG Easy TV is launching in South Korea. It is built on the LG QNED Evo QNED85A Mini LED 4K Smart TV platform, with two models available:
-
65-inch version priced at 2,769,000 won (around $1,965)
-
75-inch version priced at 3,869,000 won (around $2,746)
LG has shared plans to expand to other markets with rapidly aging populations, including the U.S. However, no official launch date outside South Korea has been confirmed yet.
A Step Toward Accessible Tech
With the LG Easy TV, the company is addressing a growing need: technology that works for everyone, including seniors. By focusing on simplicity, accessibility, and helpful reminders, LG is setting an example for how tech companies can create products that bridge generational gaps.
