Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said on Sunday that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government had agreed to sign a written agreement and submit an implementation plan within 72 hours that mainly covered counterterrorism. The interior minister’s announcement came hours after a second round of marathon talks between the federal government and the PTI — which is in power in KP but in opposition in the Centre — ended in a deadlock ahead of the party’s protest march that it plans to begin today.
