After teasing its unique design at NAB 2026, Insta360 has officially announced and launched the Insta360 Mic Pro, a wireless microphone system packed with innovations. Each transmitter features a three-microphone array and a 1.22-inch color E Ink screen for personalization. The Mic Pro is available as a single transmitter for $99.99 or as a complete kit with two transmitters, a wireless receiver, and a charging case for $329.99.
The standout upgrade in the Insta360 Mic Pro is its three-microphone array, which works with advanced audio processing to emulate different pickup patterns. This makes it ideal for various recording scenarios.
When mounted on a camera, the array functions like a shotgun mic, focusing on talent in front of the lens. This reduces background noise for crisp, directional audio.
Cardioid mode offers a tighter pickup for voiceovers, while Figure-8 mode captures audio from both front and rear—perfect for recording interviews or conversations.
Each transmitter includes a six-color, 1.22-inch round E Ink screen. This display can show logos, names, or custom images, making it easy to identify multiple mics during multi-source recordings.
The E Ink screen retains images even when the transmitter is powered off, adding a professional touch to your gear. Battery life reaches up to 10 hours per transmitter, extendable to 30 hours with the charging case.
The Insta360 Mic Pro includes 32GB of internal storage per transmitter, capturing a stereo audio backup alongside the main recording. This ensures you never lose critical audio.
Connect directly to smartphones or Insta360 cameras like the X5, Go Ultra, and Ace Pro 2 via Bluetooth. For other devices, use the wireless receiver with USB-C or audio cables.
The Mic Pro system works with most recording devices. Single transmitters are $99.99, while the full kit with two transmitters, receiver, and case is $329.99. Available now at Amazon and Insta360.
