India win toss, bat first in Asian Games cricket final against Pakistan

India won the toss and elected to bat first in the Asian Games men’s cricket final against Pakistan at the Korogi Sports Park in Nisshin, Japan on Saturday. India currently hold the Asian Games gold medal honours, after their title win in 2023 Hangzhou Games. Pakistan, meanwhile finished fourth in the 2023 edition of the Asiad, and will be looking to win their first ever gold medal at the Games. The national side’s last medal show came in 2010 in Guangzhou, when they took bronze.
